Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Jason Goad was formally schooled at the Columbus College of Art and Design, and was inspired at a young age by the things that influence most male artists around his age: superheroes like Batman, Spiderman, and Superman, and Star Wars characters like Boba Fett and Darth Vader. His story is similar to that of other artists as well. After working a series of odd jobs including stints at Target and furniture warehouses, he decided to pursue his artistic career by becoming a freelance artist. His work now adorns skateboards, rock merchandise, rock posters, and motorcycle helmets.
