A CONVERSATION WITH REDEFINE WRITER MELISSA KOWALCZYK.

Redefine Magazine: What kind of music do you listen to?
Atropos: I listen to everything from rap, to country, to techno opera, and underground. If I like the beat, I listen to it. It's stupid to only pay attnetion to music based on genre. Oh yea - and classical rocks!
RM: Awesome... I know I was kind of eh... about classical and jazz and blues and that stuff when I was younger... but I took a Jazz appreciation class and it was so awesome.
Atropos: Yeah, on the surface most music forms bite if they are not your taste, but I love Garth Brooks, Louie Armstrong, Metallica (old school Metallica), Lords of Acid, Poe, etc.
RM: Nice mixture there. I know I love music that makes me feel a certain way... on that tone... what is your most favorite item that just makes you feel good when you have it? Like anything that you just see and have it and it makes you feel good?
Atropos: Hmm - things that I have that makes me feel good.... Okay - total sissy moment here - my stuffed rabbit I've had since as a kid. His name is Bunny...and he was a mini rabbit with him, "Fufu." As for seeing something… it just depends on my mood. When angry, seeing an asshole get justice is great, and seeing things made right is what really gets me going.
RM: Oh my... I like that too... about the asshole thing, although watching skateboarders fall on their ass makes me really happy. I'm a sick, sick individual. But yeah... to get away from the "sissy moment" Do you like sports?
Atropos: I love hockey and paintball. Hockey for the fights and great ass... Paintball because its the only sport where your allowed to legally shoot someone.
RM: Nice answer What's your favorite type of art to look at... genre... emotion... etc?
Atropos: Fave art? There is no genre that’s the best. It’s the effort and creative genius that makes it worthy. A cross in a jar is pee is NOT art. The Mona Lisa IS art. Don't confuse fads for art. I LOVE Dali.....I also lose Ralphile, Esher, Olivia, etc. Comic art has its merits, etc. Comparing categories of art is like similar to saying "Do you like red apples more...or green ones"? They both have their merits, and when grown wrong, are terrible. I really love it all, art is like my music.
RM: That's cool. I can't say I love it all. But I can appreciate it and respect a whole lot of it
Atropos: Yea, not all of it is good.
RM: What is your favorite aspect of being a alternative model?
Atropos: FASHION! While everything I do I'm not interested in, it exposes me to what others call fashion, and what turns them on. It's interesting because you can tell a LOT about a person based on what arouses them: their history, personality, hopes, and fears.
RM: That's very cool . With the psychology thing... I thought it would be cool to do one of those tests where I say a word and you say the first word that comes to your mind... I forgot what they're called.
Atropos: Association tests.
RM: Uh huh… alrighty then – ready?
Atropos: Yep.
RM: Money.
Atropos: Capitalism.
RM: Dog.
Atropos: Pink dog collar.
RM: Gray.
Atropos: Rabbit.

Atropos: 49'ers.
