MK: How does history come into play in your designs? LA: That's hard to say. Because the designs and history connection is random really. I'll see something I like, and twist it. The hard part is, finding something I like enough to twist.
MK: That's cool... like seeing something and putting your own perspective on it... would you say that's accurate? LA: Yea. MK: Well, could you describe what interests you most in fashion? Or what genre of fashion interests you most and how would you describe it? LA: What interests me in fashion is something that has not been done before. Everyone has seen the $6000 skirt, everyone has seen the fur coat and Lord, we all have seen that horrific clothing on the runway that you’d never be caught dead in, let alone pay for. What we have not seen is something wild that we can afford to wear that isn’t ugly.
