Color me just silly, but I’ve just recently heard that Ballard’s OKOK Gallery has now been renamed and rebranded as Ambach & Rice. They’ve only been rebranded for about two months, but so far, it’s going well. On display now until April 19th are the works of German artist, Christian Weihrauch. This show marks the first solo exhibit by the artist in the United States. The piece above might look like a man wearing a shirt from a distance, but up close, one finds patrons sitting around a table, and many more narrative scenes embedded in a haze of drawing upon drawing upon drawing. All the scenes are interwoven flawlessly, causing viewers to wonder what the connecting factor between each of the scenes is, or if there is really one at all. Marvelous.
