Zambri
All of these tracks have been out for a hot second now, but here they all are in one compact place! The debut album of NYC’s Zambri came out earlier this year on Kanine Records. Entitled House Of Baasa, it’s a record full of pop songs with a gothy lean and just enough distortion to keep any lightness from turning cutesy.
Included below are tons of mp3s, along with an Ice Choir remix for “IBCYS”, a Zambri mix for Arcade Fire’s “The Suburbs” — which is a surprisingly fascinating and very percussive reworking of a straight-forward indie rock strack — and my favorite, a driving Plastic HealtH remix for the strangely-titled “My Could Have True” that will get into your groove zone in a most carnal and shoulder-shrugging way.
