All posts by Vivian Hua

Vivian Hua (華婷婷) wears a lot of random hats, but has somewhat mastered globetrotting like a hobo and evading traditional 9-to-5 work schedules. She enjoys observing human idiosyncrasies perhaps more than anything and is a magnet for homeless people (a joy) and bug bites of all types (absolutely terrible). Through her work, she hopes to embrace the temporary while documenting the nostalgic, using divination and dream symbolism as guides through the cosmic maze. Additional writing, art, video, and other crap, like her astrological chart, can be seen at www.inallthings-patterns.net. She is the Editor-in-Chief of REDEFINE magazine, and quite appreciates unsolicited personal e-mails just to shoot the shit and narrow the gaps between human beings.

“Pop music shouldn’t always get a bad rap,” says Top Pops!, a recurring selection of pop music highlights across a selection of styles. Hella indie pop today. YAWN YAWN’s singles are usually joyful celebrations bearing resemblance to a more stripped down and straight-forward Animal Collective (to name bands that people in such genres hate/love being...Read...

Face-Devouring Photography By Lucas Simões

I’m not sure what it is about our nature that makes us constantly want to mutilate faces — and maybe that is just the simplest explanation for all of our recent zombie activity — but sometimes there’s just nothing more carnally fulfilling than running paper faces under an acid bath of collage, painting, mixed media,...Read...

Remix City: Radiation City – Find It Of Use, Fallulah – I Lay My Head MP3 Downloads & Streams

Remix City Sifting through mountains of remix trash so you don’t have to, in an attempt to find the ones that contribute to their originals. Portland’s Radiation City and Denmark’s Fallulah both get their indie turned dance.   Fallulah Fallulah’s solo material definitely lives more in sultry Feist territory than on dance floors — and...Read...
