Helen Earth Band – (We All) Talk With Knives

Take a close look at Helen Earth Band while they perform “(We All) Talk With Knives”. The video follows a simple idea of splitting up the screen into four distinct quandrants, with each quandrant focused on a different band member. Helen Earth Band certainly don’t make simplistic music, but the video grows from bare basics...Read...

Dan Sartain – “Athiest Funeral” Music Video

Dan Sartain creates lo-fi rockabilly and sings about things like voodoo. He’s from Birmingham, Alabama, and he absolutely hates the place (in part due to the religious right coordinating an event during which The Beatles records were burned and run over by steamrollers). Channel all that negative energy and turn it into some music —...Read...

Netherfriends – “Brett Easton Ellis Novel” Music Video

It’s not the best quality video, but it seems intentionally campy, like a stop-motion animation founded on webcams or point-and-shoot cameras. The Aliens – “Sunlamp Show” Music Video

UK band The Aliens have a new album, Luna, out right now. This psychedelic tromp features a battle between the people of a happy, paint-splotched world and denizens of the dark. One can imagine who wins, given the style of music. They don’t shy away from referencing aliens ad nauseum, either. Animated by Chris McKenzie.

Earl Greyhound – Shotgun

Run through a countryside home with Earl Greyhound, focusing on the knick-knacks hanging on the walls and the photo frames coming to life. Earl Greyhound’s album, Suspicious Package, was released in April 2010, and this androgynous emotional track goes perfectly with this video. Created by thinkfeel.tv and directed by Chell Stephen.
