karla hernández

music writer (los angeles, ca) . staff member since 2008

Karla is a curious type of individual who loves being around creative people and asking lots of questions. As someone who grew up in a small rural town in Nothern California (population: 252!), she is accustomed to relying on the power of the Internet and the music scenes of smaller cities to learn about new, innovative artists. She has been involved with independent community and college radio since 2004 and enjoys listening to new bands and flipping through old vinyl record collections. She currently hosts a show called It's Getting Giddy In Here on KDVS 90.3FM in Davis and online at kdvs.org.
