Birdmonster

No Midnight (Self-Released)

If you are a fan of screenprinting and textures, the cover art for Birdmonster’s debut self-released album, No Midnight, is damn near perfect. The band must have a great graphic designer on hand at their disposal. Everything, down to their show flyers and t-shirts, are immaculately concepted. The band’s music isn’t bad either, and the independent band has been praised by press from the Performer to the SF Chronicle. No Midnight will make you feel good that you took the chance to listen to Birdmonster. These guys don’t overstep their bounds or take themselves too ridiculously seriously. The track sequencing is well-done, which keeps the pace of the album unrepetitive and entertaining. It seems only a matter of time before this band gets signed, and hopefully they make the right decisions.
