Tokyo Rose

New American Saint (SideCho Records)

Tokyo Rose’s New American Saint, designed by Brad Flip, is gorgeous in its use of color and surreal props. One might expect that Tokyo Rose’s music would walk down the same path, but that’s an assumption that would be way off base. Tokyo Rose’s music has none of the mystique of the album cover; it is straight-forward pop-punk with only occasionally savory melodies.
